There's a colitis cure right in front of you that you can enact
yourself. Before long you will be free of not only colitis, but most of
the other diseases that plague the western world. Your health and
energy will be through the roof.
Making Changes and Taking Responsibility
It's nice to be able to blame genetics or fate for colitis. I engaged
in this comfort for years, but it didn't help me get better, and the
words certainly weren't a colitis cure. The sad truth is that I brought
colitis on myself through a poor diet.
The SAD diet is not only killing most of us us early though heart
disease, stroke, cancer, and other ailments, but it also causes us to
spend our lives in agony with disorders like Colitis, Crohn's, IBS,
diabetes and other problems.
You've probably been to a doctor looking for salvation. They can't help
you. They may offer to put you on drugs for life, or cut out your
colon, but they can't cure you of what ails you. They only treat
symptoms, and do even that unsuccessfully. They don't have a colitis
cure.
Only the body can heal itself, and the body can only begin that process after it's no longer being polluted with irritants.
This colitis cure is not a false magic bullet like the doctors offer,
but a routing out of the cause of the disease that brings on your
symptoms.
You have to be willing to take responsibility for your life and your
disease and recognize that it's the food that you're eating that's
hurting you.
Meat, dairy, grains, processed cooked foods, and other unnatural things
that your digestive system was never meant to handle all irritate the
digestive system and cause Colitis, IBS, and Crohn's.
So the question to ask is: what foods can I eat that won't irritate my body so it can begin to heal?
In his book, "Self Healing Colitis & Crohn's," David Klein, Ph.D., says:
People who have switched to natural, vegan whole foods diets have found
that their previous diet was largely responsible for their (Colitis and
Crohn's) and that medicines only contributed to their ill health. They
also discover that their new natural diet is more satisfying and
energizing because it is the "the real thing"- it is pure, nourishing
food which their taste buds truely appreciate the most. (1)
Klein has supervised the cures of over 1,000 Colitis, Crohn's and IBS
sufferers. He simply changed their food, and recommends a diet of raw
fruits and vegetables.
The Diet
Though once you've gotten well you'll be able to eat a large variety of
raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, at the beginning of your
healing journey your digestion needs to be babied a bit.
I suggest that until your symptoms subside you stick to a diet of just
non-acidic raw fruits. Bananas are perfect, and you can easily just eat
them for all your needs, but feel free to eat any others you fancy as
well. Fruits are the key to a colitis cure.
Vegetables are hard for a damaged digestive system to process, and
eating them may bring back on constipation or diarea, depending on
which you were suffering from.
How long it will take you to completely heal depends on how serious
your disease is. A severely compromised digestive symptoms that has
been polluted with drugs for years will take longer to clean out and
heal than a minor case.
People in poor health may temporarily feel worse before they get
better. When the strain of pollution ends, your body can start
expelling toxins from the body, which can be unpleasant.
You may experience headaches or other pains and fatigue. The best thing
to do is to sleep as much as you can and stick to a very simple diet of
raw fruits.
When I made the transition, I started to notice improvements at the end
of week two, but minor problems persisted, at an ever decreasing rate,
for almost two months.
By my second month I was able to expand my fruit selection into acidic
fruits and raw vegetables. It's very important to vary your diet and
eat a nightly salad when your body can handle it.
Your body conducts much of its healing when you sleep, and it's best to
devote as much time to sleep during this healing phase as possible. The
more you sleep the sooner you'll be better. Feel free to stay in bed
nine or 10 hours if you have the time.
Today, I don't have a single symptom left, my general health is through
the roof, and I have more energy than I know what to do with.
You too have a colitis cure within you. You just need to let the body take care of itself.
