Fruit Nutrition Is The Key
To Vibrant Health
Whether
you're a raw foodist or just looking to eat healthier, fruit nutrition
can teach you a lot.
Fruit is the food most suited to meeting the nutritional needs of the
human body.
An analysis of fruit nutrition proves that the desirable qualities we
want from our food are all found in fruit.
Sugar,
our fuel, water, the great cleanser and mover of the body, and vitamins
and minerals, which the body needs to maintain itself, are all found in
fruit in perfect quantities.
All
our fuel, whatever state that we eat it in, must be converted to simple
sugars to be used by the body. The body labors to convert fatty foods
like meat and starchy foods like rice into sugars. It can be hours
before this food is converted into a usable form.
Ripe
fruit, however, is made up of glucose and fructose sugars, which the
body immediatly assimilates with virtually no digestion. Every cell in
our body needs lots of sugar to function, so it make sense to deliver
it in a form you can use off the bat.
Fruit averages about 98 percent water, taking care of
most of your water needs.
Fruit
provides the highest percentage of vitamins per calorie, with
vegetables coming in second. Fruit only comes in second in terms of
minerals per calorie, with vegetables taking first place.
Fruit
averages between 5 and 10 percent of calories from protein. Even
mothers milk, which fuels the body at the time it's growing the
fastest, is slightly under 10 percent of calories. If it's good enough
for a growing babies, it's perfect for an adult.
Almost every
cancer research organization in the world is supportive of the
consumption of fruit. You can, like myself, get most of your calories
from fruit and be extremely healthy. If not, just eat as much as you
like and enjoy it.

Nutrition: What isn't in Fruit?

The
other aspect of fruit nutrition is what isn't in fruit. Fruit is free
of cholesterol. The body can produce its own cholesterol, and needs
none from outside. The consumption of extra cholesterol leads to heart
disease and clogged arteries.
Raw fruits do contain some fat, but not nearly the high
amounts found in most dishes.
The
more fat you have in your bloodstream, the harder it is for your body
to absorb the simple sugars it needs. Sugar trapped in the bloodstream
causes candida, chronic fatigue, and other disorders. Oxygen movement
is also impeded by fat, which is never a good thing.
Fruit lacks certain minerals found in fruit, and so
leafy green vegetables are needed for proper nutrition.
The Conclusions We Can Draw From Raw Food Nutrition
It is abundantly clear that fruit is fruit is suited to be the chief
food of man, though we certainly need leafy green vegetables as well.
You
can make such raw foods the entirely of your diet, or just decide to
ratchet up your level of healthy be increasing consumption to some
degree. You might want to start off with the ultimate
vegan breakfast,
if you're in that camp.
