Is Vitamin D Supplemenation Safe? And Your Last Chance To Win Savory Raw Dressings and Sauces
October 14, 2010

Is Your Vitamin D Supplement Safe?

The days are growing brisker in the northern hemisphere, and the sun is making ever-more-limited appearances.

Winter will soon be here, and that will bring around the perennial question - Do I need to take a vitamin D supplement?

Once favorably promoted by researchers as a way to combat mental issues, bone degradation, and cancer risk, D supplements have had a bad couple of years, and the once fervent enthusiasm for them is beginning to wane (at least among those with no financial interest in promoting them).

Many studies over the last few years have found them unable to prevent or reverse the diseases believed caused by vitamin D deficiency, and in some cases they're actually harming the people taking them.

For an in-depth look at vitamin D supplements and how you can get enough vitamin D this winter, read my article.
