Ugli Fruit Video

Take a look at the Ugli fruit's wrinkled, greenish-yellow skin and you won't wonder where the name came from.

They're a Jamaican tangelo created by a wild cross between a grapefruit or pomelo and a tangerine and discovered growing in the wilderness in 1924.

American's pronounce the name Ugly, but ask a Jamaican and they'll call it an "ooo-glee" fruit.
