Am I Eating Too Much Fruit? What About The Fructose?
by Alfredo
(Italy)
Alfredo's Question: I love sweet fruit and so eat 5 to 6 servings of fruit during the day.
For breakfast I usually prepare a smoothy with two frozen bananas, two ripe bananas, or some other type of fruit along with coconut flour, sometimes cacao powder, and two raw eggs.
Do you think that I eat too much fruit and too many bananas for breakfast?
I ask you this question because many doctors and nutritionists tell people to reduce the amount of fructose in their diet because it can be dangerous for their health.
Thanks,
Alfredo
Andrew's Answer:
Hi Alfredo.
Actually, I'd say you're not eating enough fruit and too much junk food you don't need.
Breakfast would be much simpler, easier to digest, and better for you if you ditched the other elements and just ate raw fruit.

Sure, plenty of people will tell you fructose is horrible for you, but the only data we have showing a downside to fructose is when it's sourced from processed foods.
In the case of whole raw fruits, fructose is highly beneficial. It's a simple sugar that our cells need for fuel.
You can read more about fructose here.
I've been eating a
100 percent raw food diet since 2007, and each day I consume considerably more fruit than you do.
Yet I am the healthiest I've been in my life and thrive at a level most people are envious of.
A fruit based raw food diet is the way to go.
