Can You Get Too Much Nutrition From A Raw Food Diet?

Reader's Question: I adore eating as much raw food as possible but I have one silly query I have never heard anyone else ask.


Can you get too much nutrition from a high-raw diet?

I don't take supplements but if I am eating so many vegetables, fruit, and sprouted grains, might I be ingesting too much of something?

Andrew's Answer:

If you're sticking to a healthy raw food diet made up of whole raw fruits and vegetables, you don't have to worry about receiving too much of any nutrient.

Unlike nutritional supplements and vitamin pills, which have been connected to cancer and a number of other diseases, whole fruits and vegetables give your body the nutrients it requires to function properly in a ratio that won't overwhelm it.

The preponderance of evidence shows that whole fruits and vegetables do more than any other food or treatment can to fight aging and disease.

Stick with raw whole foods, and you'll do just fine.
