Thank You
by: David Smith

Hi Andrew,

I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to answer my inquiry.

The idea of not harming and/or killing plants in order to eat, i.e. eating only fruit [which I believe includes tomatoes, (ripe/red) bell peppers, and cucumbers {among others)] defintely appeals to me, but I agree that you [and others] may be absolutely correct, i.e. that we need the extra minerals concentrated in vegetables. Ann Osbourne [and her children], as one example, seem to have done very well on fruit alone, but that does not prove that they may not have done even better with the addition of some vegetables, e.g. raw leaves and stalks [and possibly tubers, e.g. carrots]. For me, the fact that Genesis 1:29 mentions both fruit and "herbs" does add a lot of weight [to your viewpoint].

The "moral" issue is still not fully resolved for me, and [perhaps] the health/practical issue(s) as well. Thank you again for your input, Andrew, as "grist for my mill" in this ongoing personal issue.

Warm regards,
