How much water should I drink?
Is eating lots of fruit enough for hydration? How much water should we drink on a less active day and a full active day? Is it better before or after the meals?Andrew's Answer:
Suggesting a generic amount of water to drink is impossible because different bodies will perspire at different rates under different circumstances.
Eating a raw diet based around fruit will indeed give you a advantage over other diets when it comes to hydration, but we do require more water to supplement.
My rule is that I drink a very large glass of water upon rising in the morning. At this time we haven't had any water or food for hours, and we're parched. I often find that I don't feel like drinking when I get up, but as soon as I start I realize how thirsty I am.
I also make sure I bring water with me on runs, bike rides, or when I'm working outside in the garden.
Any time you're active or in the sun, it's a fair bet that you need to drink some water.
