Should I Eat Peanut Butter On A Raw Food Diet?

Jennie's Question: I really love peanut butter and it's one food that I really miss on a raw food diet. In your opinion, is it okay to have a small portion occasionally?
Andrew's Answer:
Hi Jennie.
There's nothing wrong with eating small amounts of raw peanuts periodically, and that goes for raw peanut butter as well
The main problem with commercial peanut butter is that it's heated, and unhealthy additives like salt, processed sugar, oil, and various preservatives are almost always included.

If you want to eat healthy raw peanut butter, you're either going to have to find a place, like some health food stores, which makes its own locally, or you can make it yourself by simply dumping raw peanuts into a food processor and grinding up a batch.
