Simple or Complicated Raw Food Meals For The Beginner?

Nancy's Question: As a beginner, is it better to stick with all fruits or simple combinations (green smoothies) vs maybe raw cream soups and other multi-step dishes?
Andrew's Answer:Compared to the convoluted, fatty, dehydrated meals found in the recipe cabinets of most raw foodists, just about anything you can blend together out of whole, raw, unprocessed foods seems quick and simple.
I don't see why you should restrict yourself from making a simple blended soup if you feel called to.
I would just caution that the basis of a healthy diet is plenty of raw fruits. The number one reason why people fail to thrive and find dietary satisfaction on raw foods is lack of caloric intake from fruit.
Whatever you choose to blend up, make sure you're eating enough fruit.
