Smaller Blenders?

Karen's Question: I am currently transitioning into raw foodism. I am 50-60% raw now. My question is this: since I am the only one in my house adopting this lifestyle change....is there any equipment out there that is smaller? I need to make much smaller portions of things and my food processor and blender don't work well with the tiny amounts I need to make. Also please give me an idea some LESS COSTLY blenders....thank you.

Hi Karen.
Perhaps an immersion blender (sometimes called a stick blender) would be good for you. There are several travel models which are small. Although not as sturdy and powerful as a Vitamix, they should do fine if you want to make very small portions. I can't suggest a specific model, but I'm sure you can find plenty of reviews online.
I don't use a food processor, juicer, or any other electric tools, so I can't really help you there. I don't make complicated meals and base my diet around whole fruits and vegetables, so a powerful blender and some knives handle the majority of my kitchen work with ease.
Best of luck,
Andrew
