Ok, I am giving it a go!
by: Anonymous

Hi Andrew, good response to my question, which I posed a while ago. It has taken me some time to bite the bullet, but I am currently 5 days into giving this a go.

I became injured a month or so ago in a water skiing accident, and so had to give up my weekly Crossfit habit.

During my time off having physio(~ 2months), and inactive, I actually could not bring myself to keep eating Paleo/Primal, as I started to really go off all the meat and fat. I actually just ate a normal SAD type diet, and whilst it was enjoyable for the first time in 6 years to eat whatever I wanted, I may have put on the odd pound or two ;-)

So now I am just starting back running/rowing and doing some weights, and 2 weeks into this I decided to adopt your dietary recommendations, fully. NO meat or added fat in 5 days, and I feel strangely fine, just a bit of a headache today, which is unusual as I do not routinely get them, but I expect that is just my body getting used to this way of eating - one last thing, I am urinating a lot, and I have also lost a few pounds in weight, which is a good thing for me!

I have yet to see much of an increase in endurance, apart from what one would normally see this early in my training, but I will keep you posted.

Thanks for the info, Andy
